Veneers are one of our most popular cosmetic dental treatments and it’s easy to see why: they create stunning smiles and address a wide range of common aesthetic issues, from gaps between the teeth to chipped and worn teeth. We are proud to offer our clients the latest technology and treatments and Cerec technology allows us to create and fit bespoke veneers in a single treatment session. We offer beautifully crafted, custom-made same-day veneers from just 400 Euros.

About veneers

Veneers are a hugely popular treatment; they help to cover flaws in the smile and produce beautifully flawless smiles. When you love your smile, you’re more likely to show it off and veneers can give you a major confidence boost.

Veneers are light, fine shells of ceramic or composite, which are placed over the teeth to craft a beautiful smile; they sit on top of your natural teeth and can be used to cover chips, staining and worn surfaces.

Same-day veneers

We are able to offer same-day veneer treatment thanks to the incredible capabilities of Cerec technology. Usually, it takes around 2 weeks to create veneers once the impressions of the teeth have been taken, but with Cerec, we are able to complete the design, manufacturing and fitting process at the practice, meaning you can enjoy your new smile after just one treatment session.

Cerec takes care of the design process, converting images of the teeth into detailed 3D computerised models, which are then sent to the milling machine. In a matter of seconds, your new veneers will be ready and we can then fit them. Once your veneers are in place, we will show you the results, check that you are happy and then secure them onto your teeth.

If you thought dazzling, flawless smiles were just for celebrities, think again! We can create stunning smiles using the latest veneer treatments for patients in and around Donnybrook.

The ins and outs of veneer treatment

Veneers are small, light shells, which are usually made from porcelain; they are placed over the top of your natural teeth to create amazing aesthetics. You can choose to have a full set of veneers or partial treatment to repair chipped or worn teeth, for example, and there are different shades and shapes on offer. Veneers are versatile and you can get involved in the smile design process to create the smile of your dreams; whether you want a subtle and natural look, or you long for full-on glamour, we can help!

Veneer treatment is often used to create perfect smiles, but it can also serve a purpose for patients who have chipped, stained or worn teeth or spaces between their teeth. Treatment usually involves two separate sessions after the consultation, which are used to create the impressions of your teeth and then to fit the veneers.

During the first session, we will prepare your teeth and then create impressions and take photographs of your teeth. These impressions and images of your teeth are used to create your bespoke veneers.

The second session is used to fit your veneers. We will place the veneers on your teeth and then ask you to take a look and check that you are happy with the look of your smile. We will then secure your veneers onto the teeth using strong dental glue.

We are delighted to offer some of the world’s leading veneer treatments, including Lumineers and Da Vinci veneers, both of which have featured heavily on television makeover shows. Both types of veneer offer strength and style, with beautiful aesthetics guaranteed.

Composite White Fillings With Dr Paul Hooi At Dublin18 Dental Care For Patients Near Ballsbridge

Even the most diligent dental patients can encounter problems with their teeth from time to time and we have the treatments to patch you up and ensure you are free from pain and infection. Fillings are a very common treatment used to treat tooth decay. We offer high quality, aesthetically pleasing white fillings to strengthen your teeth without impacting on the beauty of your smile.

What are white fillings?

White fillings are a popular modern alternative to silver amalgam fillings. White fillings are made from a mixture of dental composite, resins and glass ionmers and they are designed to make your teeth stronger and fill cavities without changing the aesthetic of your tooth. There are various shades of composite available and we do our best to match the filling to your natural tooth shade for a completely invisible finish.

If you have a cavity, this weakens the tooth and there is a risk that bacteria can spread through your tooth; fillings help to prevent this and strengthen your tooth.

Filling treatment

Dr Paul Hooi is an experienced dentist and he uses his skill and creativity to create seamless aesthetics. Using dental composite, Dr Hooi restores the teeth, maintaining their natural beauty and ensuring that you don’t feel a thing.

Treatment is short and painless, as we use mild anaesthetic to numb the tooth prior to the procedure. Your dentist will clean the cavity thoroughly and removed decayed tissue, before the composite is poured into the hole and shaped. At this stage, bonding material will have been placed inside the cavity to enable the composite to stick firmly and the composite is in putty form. Dr Hooi will use his expertise to shape the composite before using a curing light to set it firm and making any final adjustments.

Silver amalgam fillings

White fillings have become very popular over the last few years thanks to their cosmetic benefits, but silver amalgam fillings remain a popular choice, especially for patients who have cavities in the molar teeth. We offer different types of filling to cater for patient’s individual needs.

We Are Delighted To Announce The Arrival Of Our Brand New Omni Cam Cerec Machine At Dublin18 Dental Care For Patients Near Dublin18

We are proud to invest in new technology to ensure our patients have access to the best dental services and treatments and we are delighted to announce the arrival of our new Cerec machine.

What is Cerec?

Cerec is an innovative form of technology, which enables us to offer a range of restorative services on-site. With Cerec, we are able to design, process and fit new, bespoke restorations in a single session, so you can enjoy your new crown or onlay straight away, rather than having to wait for it to be sent from a laboratory.

Cerec technology uses state of the art design and imaging software to process and convert images of the patient’s teeth into detailed 3D models, which are then sent to the on-site milling machine. This means no more conventional putty impressions for our patients for cosmetic dental procedures, no more temporary crowns or long waiting periods. We are also able to get more involved in the design process and we only need one session, which means fewer injections and less time in the dental chair.

Benefits of Cerec

The Cerec 3D omnicam scans the prepared tooth in just seconds, which eliminates the need for unpleasant silicone impressions which patients can find uncomfortable, especially those with sensitive gag reflexes.  Cerec restorations are milled out of a solid ceramic block in just a few minutes and they are then ready to be placed immediately. This eliminates the need for temporary fillings and crowns and means that you only need one visit.

We can use Cerec to create custom-made veneers, inlays, onlays and crowns and provide you with the very best restorations quickly.

Celebrity Dentistry- Veneers For People Near Dundrum At Dublin18 Dental Care

Have you ever wondered how celebrities have such perfect smiles? Are you longing for a red carpet worthy set of bright pearly whites? If so, we have the perfect treatment for you.

About veneers

Our amazing veneer treatments create beautiful smiles. Veneers are ultra-thin sheets of laminate porcelain, which are crafted to fit over the top of the natural teeth. The veneers are placed over the teeth and can hide a multitude of sins, from discolouration and staining, to chips, worn surfaces and even spaces between the teeth.

We offer Da Vinci veneers and Cerinate Lumineers, both of which produce incredible results. Da Vinci veneers shot to fame after featuring heavily on television makeover shows and Lumineers are known for their stunning translucent sheen, as well as their enhanced durability.

The veneer treatment process

The first step if you are interested in veneers is a consultation. During your consultation, your dentist will talk you through the different treatments and help you to decide which one suits you best. If you decide to go ahead with treatment, we will create impressions of your teeth, which will be used as moulds for your new veneers to ensure a perfect fit over your natural teeth. In most cases, it is necessary to remove a very thin layer of the tooth surface in order to make room for the veneers; this is not painful and will not take long. Once your new veneers are ready, we will fit them and then secure them in place. You can then start showing off your amazing new smile!

Veneers are a popular choice for patients who want a brighter, more glamorous smile, as well as those who have existing aesthetic problems they want to address. If you have any questions, our dedicated dentists will be happy to provide you with more information.

Dental Veneers For A Smile Transformation Near Foxrock Village

At Dublin18 we understand the importance of feeling confident when you smile and we aim to create beautiful, natural smiles using the latest and most effective dental treatments. One of our most popular cosmetic dental treatments is veneers.

If you’ve ever wished for a flawless smile or you hate looking in the mirror because you dislike your crooked or discoloured teeth, why not contact us today to find out about how veneers could transform your smile and boot your confidence?

What are veneers?

Veneers are very thin, tooth-shaped pieces of ceramic material, normally porcelain, that are placed over the top of the teeth to create a perfect new smile. The veneers are custom-made to ensure that they fit your teeth perfectly and you can choose from different shapes and shades to create your ideal smile; some people choose a natural look, while others prefer a more glamorous, celebrity-style smile.

Veneers are an ideal treatment for people who have:

  • chipped teeth
  • worn or uneven teeth
  • discoloured or stained teeth
  • small gaps between the teeth

The procedure

Veneer treatment is usually carried out in two sessions; during the first session, the teeth are prepared, which involves removing a very fine layer of the tooth tissue and then creating an impression using dental putty. The veneers are then custom-made to fit the mould. Once they are ready, the veneers can then be applied over the top of the natural teeth to produce a beautiful new smile.

Veneer treatments

At Dublin18 Dental Care near Foxrock Village we are proud to offer two of the world’s leading veneer treatments: Lumineers and Da Vinci veneers, both of which have been featured on famous American and British television makeover shows.

Lumineers are ultra-thin veneers, which are just 2mm thick; they have a natural looking glossy sheen and as they are so fine, only minimal tooth preparation is required.

Da Vinci veneers are made in California; they are very thin and have a very lifelike finish, which makes them a popular choice.

If you would like to find out more about veneers, call us today to arrange a consultation!

White Fillings At Dublin18 Dental Care Near Ballsbridge

White fillings have become a favourite of patients for a number of reasons.

  • They look far more attractive than metal fillings
  • They are felt to be safer than metal fillings

Both points are equally valid. For many years metal, amalgam fillings were the restorative of choice for damaged teeth, but research and experience revealed over time that these were prone to leak. Heavy metal leakage is no picnic and so when possible most dentists prefer to use white fillings, which contain no metal material.

Why do I need a filling?

Fillings are a handy tool for preventing further tooth decay and saving your natural teeth. When plaque and bacteria are able to sit on the surface on your teeth they eat away at the enamel, first causing erosion and then decay. Small holes can begin to appear in your tooth, which if left unchecked can turn into large holes, after which they become massive cavities. Cavities are painful and can often mean the end of your natural tooth, with extraction often the only option. If a dentist spots a small amount of decay in time they can use malleable white dental fillings to seal the tooth and prevent any further decay from occurring.

What else can white fillings be used for?

White fillings can also be used for aesthetic reasons, for example, if you suffer from a chipped tooth at the front of your mouth then white filling material can be used to restore the tooth. As long as the damage isn’t structural, white fillings can be used to correct fractures and cracks to teeth that a visible when you smile. This is often a more cost effective option that veneers or crowns and provides results that are similar in appearance. If you are interested in having white fillings get in touch with the team at Dublin18 Dental Care near Ballsbridge.

White Fillings for patients near Foxrock Village

Even the most diligent patients may need a filling; fillings are a type of restoration, which are used to fill cavities and prevent further damage to teeth once a cavity has formed. White fillings are very popular because they blend in with the colour of the tooth, which means that they cannot be distinguished from the rest of the tooth. Metal fillings are highly visible when you smile and more and more people are choosing to their metal fillings replaced with more aesthetically pleasing white fillings.

The procedure

Before a filling is placed, the cavity is cleaned thoroughly and your dentist will remove the decayed tissue from the hole. Once the cavity is clean, bonding material is added and the composite filling material is poured into the cavity. It is then set hard using a light beam and then trimmed to ensure that it fits perfectly.

The filling procedure is relatively straight-forward and you should not experience any pain; typically, treatment is complete within 40 minutes.

Advantages of white fillings

White fillings have become very popular because they provide better aesthetics than metal fillings; over the years, the materials have become stronger and they can now be used to fill most cavities. White fillings are also considered to be safer and more environmentally friendly than metal amalgam fillings.

Why would I need a filling?

You may be advised to have a filling if you have a cavity; a cavity is a hole in the tooth. Fillings help to make the teeth stronger and reduce the risk of further damage or injury; they also help to prevent the spread of infection. If you are interested in white fillings get in touch with us at Dublin18 Dental Care near Foxrock Village.
