What does home whitening involve?

Home whitening is a really convenient solution to discolouration or staining, especially if you’re constantly under time pressure and you would struggle to organise a series of dental appointments. The treatment process is wonderfully simple and involves wearing a custom-made whitening tray, which contains whitening gel, for a period of time each day. The trays are made to fit your teeth perfectly so they should be very comfortable and we generally recommend a treatment time of around 2 weeks, with the trays in place for approximately 6 hours per day. We find that most patients prefer to wear their whitening trays at night, so that treatment has no effect on their normal daily routine, social life or work commitments.
