This impressive technology allows us to make crowns on the day, enabling us to carry out the preparation work and fit the crown on the same day with no need for temporary crowns or impressions. This is also possible for inlays, onlays and veneers.

So, what exactly is Cerec?

Cerec is an innovative piece of equipment, which uses the latest technology to design and manufacture bespoke dental restorations in a single day. Traditionally, when you need a new crown or an inlay, you visit your dentist, they may an impression and then you go back two weeks later to have your restoration fitted once it has been sent back from the dental laboratory. With Cerec, the middle man is cut out and we can do everything on-site.

With Cerec, digital photographs of the teeth are converted into detailed 3D models, which are used to design and create your new, custom-made restorations. These models are sent to the milling machine, which fabricates the restoration in a matter of seconds. The restoration is then ready to fit.
