Create Gleaming Teeth This Summer With Our Veneer Treatments For Patients Near Ballsbridge

Nothing screams summer like healthy glowing skin and a bright, white smile, so why not treat yourself to a brand new set of pearly whites in time to celebrate the summer months?

At Dublin18 Dental Care we offer the latest cosmetic dental treatments, including veneers. We offer world-famous veneer treatments, including Da Vinci veneers and Lumineers, which have both been featured on television makeover shows and are favourites with celebrities.

What are Lumineers?

Lumineers are ultra-thin veneers, which produce incredible, natural looking smiles. Lumineers are very thin (just 2mm) but they are also very strong and hard-wearing. Lumineers are ideal for those looking for a bright and glossy smile, which still looks natural.

Da Vinci veneers

Da Vinci veneers are very popular; they are thinner than traditional porcelain veneers, which means that minimal preparation is required and the results are incredible.

Why would I choose veneers?

Veneers are a very effective treatment for people who are unhappy with the look of their smile and long for a healthy, bright and natural looking smile. Veneers can be used to address many different aesthetic flaws, from chipped and worn teeth to stained and discoloured teeth and gaps between the teeth.

Veneers are applied over the top of the natural teeth; the veneers we use at Dublin18 Dental Care near Ballsbridge are very thin, so they do not feel uncomfortable and preparation is kept to a minimum; this prevents damage to the tooth enamel.

Veneers are custom-made for the individual patient to ensure that they fit properly; once they are ready, we will fit them in place and check that you are happy with your new smile before fixing the veneers to your teeth.

If you’re looking for a gorgeous new smile for the summer, look no further than Dublin18 Dental Care; we can give you the smile of your dreams!

Get A Variety Of Veneers At Dublin18 Dental Care Near Foxrock

Most people would like to have a healthy, natural looking smile.  A nice smile gives people the confidence they need in a society that is particularly image conscious. A popular cosmetic treatment we offer at Dublin18 is dental veneer treatment. Veneers are a covering over teeth that are damaged or discoloured and can also be used to help with the appearance of teeth that are not straight.

So if you are unhappy with the appearance of your teeth perhaps veneers are a possible option for you.  Veneers are thin sheets of porcelain or other materials such as composite bonding that are incredibly strong and are custom made for each patient to help solve any issues they have with their teeth.

Variety of veneer treatments

At Dublin18 Dental Care there are a variety of different options to choose from aside from the traditional veneers when it comes to perfecting your smile.

Lumineers

Lumineers are stronger than your average veneer but are only 2 millimetres thick. They are made from extremely strong material which will look natural and aesthetically pleasing in the mouth.

Da Vinci Veneers

Da Vinci Veneers are made in California and are known to last considerably longer than their opponents in the market. These veneers are thinner than most other veneers so you may not even notice a change in your mouth other than seeing white, healthy looking teeth.

So if you’re looking to get the perfect smile in a discreet way, but aren’t quite sure which veneer is best for you and your smile, then make an appointment at Dublin18 Dental Care near Foxrock to arrange an appointment to discuss the matter further.

Filling Treatments For Patients Near Leopardstown

Fillings are essential for restoring functionality to broken teeth while maintaining comfort and protecting you against bacteria. The fact of the matter is, most people need some type of dental treatment and millions of people around the world have fillings. Fillings are common, but that doesn’t mean they have to be intrusive.

Amalgam Fillings

Once upon a time, amalgam fillings were the only type of fillings available. Made from metal, these silver filings are strong and can withstand vast amounts of pressure put on the tooth, whether the person knows or not. Since amalgam fillings do not blend with natural teeth and are quite noticeable, they are often not as popular a choice for fillings.

Composite Fillings

Composite fillings use a common and popular material to seal broken teeth. As we discussed, amalgam fillings can be noticeable when a person smiles or opens their mouth to laugh, they are often unattractive and alert everyone to the fact that you have undergone dental work. Composite fillings, on the other hand, are naturally coloured to blend in with your teeth. In fact, since most people are unable to deduce a composite filling from a natural tooth on first glance, composite fillings have increased and continue to increase in popularity.

Cerec Onlays

Also metal free, Cerec onlays allow the filling to blend in with a patient’s natural teeth. Cerec Onlays have an edge over composite fillings, however, in that they allow a patient’s treatment to be completed in one visit to the dentist, empowering patients with confidence and pride.

With so many fillings options available, it can seem a bit overwhelming choosing which method would best suit you. Get in touch with one of our highly-qualified Dublin18 Dental Care team near Leopardstown today to discuss your treatment options.

There’s No Need To Wait With Cerec Crowns For Patients Near Dublin18

Over time your teeth can become weak through your normal day-to-day activities when it comes to your teeth, such as what you eat, whether you smoke or from not having the best dental hygiene routine.

Dental crowns

If this happens to you there is something you can do, get dental crowns, which will act as a protective cover to the damaged tooth in question. The main aim of the dental crown is to restore and protect damaged and cracked teeth and even teeth that may have broken down over time.

Different types of crowns

At Dublin18 Dental Care near Dublin18 there are a wide range of options available such as porcelain crowns, procera crowns, post and core crowns and crown lengthening, which all act to protect your teeth. However there is another option in the form of the Cerec Crown, which may be useful to patients as they can be completed in just one visit.

CEREC technology

Cerec Crowns are only available in 16 clinics within whole of Ireland and Dublin18 Dental Care is one of them. This new technology allows your dentist to fix decayed teeth and replace them with crowns; it can also remove any unreliable amalgam filling all in just one appointment.

The procedure is straightforward and requires the use of a camera instead of the traditional x-ray to take a digital image of the prepared tooth. After this is completed, the computer and the Cerec 3D software will turn the digital image into a virtual model of your prepared tooth. This also means that the patient won’t experience any discomfort whilst waiting for impression molds of the tooth to set.The restoration piece will then be created for you there and then while you wait, before it is milled and polished and bonded into place within your mouth.

This new software also means you won’t have to wait several weeks for your crown to be prepared while you deal with a temporary one.

Home Tooth Whitening Kits For Patients Near Leopardstown

Want whiter teeth without having to leave your own home? Well, we can almost make that a reality; Home tooth whitening kits are becoming increasingly popular. Some kits can be used entirely at home, though some will require a mould of your mouth to be taken at your dentist’s before home treatment can begin.

How do these wondrous kits work?

Be it by a dentist or yourself, a tray (or mould) will be produced in the shape of your teeth. It should be noted that when done professionally, these trays can take between 5 and 10 days to produce. Your kit should also include some tubes of bleaching gel. Once you have your tray, you will squeeze some of the gel into the tray and wear it for a specified time period. Some kits require roughly 30 minutes a session but others can require up to two hours, some kits even require the tray to be worn overnight. You then just keep repeating this daily until you achieve your desired result – this can take anywhere between a matter of days and a matter of weeks. As these are home bleaching kits, the bleaching solution provided will be weaker than the products used by your dentist. This is why home treatment can take a little longer to complete.

How much whiter will my teeth be?

This varies both according to the person participating and the treatment used. Your dentist will guide you through the most appropriate treatment and advise you on the likely result during your initial consultation.

Am I suitable?

Some people, such as those suffering from gum disease or other dental health issues, sadly may not be suitable for any form teeth whitening. This is why it is important to consult your dentist about any form of teeth whitening, rather than simply buying an over the counter product from a pharmacist. It should be noted that teeth whitening will not alter the colour of crowns, veneers or fillings, so these may need to b altered too. If you would like more information about whitening treatments available please do contact us at Dublin18 Dental Care near to Leopardstown.

Patients Near Deansgrange Find Out What Type Of Problems Veneers Are Good For

Ah, dental veneers; False nails for the teeth, as they are often called. One dresses up for a special occasion to feel confident – who knows, you might even wear false nails – but a special occasion, importantly, ends. There is something far more fundamental about the appearance of your teeth than there is about a cocktail dress or tuxedo. It is possible to end up in a situation where the state of your teeth may weigh so heavily on your mind that the thought of another’s gaze seems terrifying. But what can help in said situation? Enter dental veneers.

What ‘exactly’ are veneers?

Going beyond the false nails analogy, Veneers are essentially wafer thin shells of material which are bonded to the teeth.

So what are they good at treating?

Elementary dear Watson, Veneers are capable of treating a number of problems. Badly stained teeth which cannot be improved by whitening procedures can essentially be covered up by dental veneers and no one will be the wiser. Teeth that have been damaged through an accident, a little too much grinding or even excessive consumption of carbonated drinks can be repaired. Gaps or spaces between teeth can also be closed via the use of veneers, providing you with a harmonised smile. Veneers are not ideal for use with crooked teeth, but can be of some use to people with only marginal misalignments. Sometimes referred to as ‘instant orthodontics’, veneers can be placed in front of crooked teeth to immediately give the impression of a uniform smile. In the long run, conventional orthodontic treatment may be a better option for crooked teeth. Conventional treatment can, however, take up to a year to complete. Veneers thus offer very quick results for slightly crooked teeth. In all cases, Veneers can be altered in colour so as to blend seamlessly with the rest of your teeth.

Patients Near Carrickmines Get A Hollywood Smile With A Six Month Smile Makeover

So you have crooked teeth, want to get rid of them fast and don’t want anyone to know about it. The lengthy treatment time of traditional orthodontics looms over you with its partner the fixed metal brace, whilst the image of your own crooked teeth seems to place you between a rock and hard place. But what if you could discreetly have orthodontic treatment at (relative) speed?

The six month smile

Six months could be quite a long time in any other field but, given that standard treatment can take up to three years for orthodontics, this is pretty speedy. The six month smile procedure is also discreet, the wires used in the treatment being tooth coloured and thus difficult to notice. The treatment is also cheaper than conventional brace work and much more comfortable as your teeth are gently repositioned.

How does this work?

Children tend to require braces to fix bite problems caused by growth issues. Adults on the other hand, tend to require braces for aesthetic reasons. As a result, adult treatment tends to involve repositioning the front teeth without any major modifications required for their bite and it is this which shaves off so much of the time that brace treatment normally requires. New technological advancements, such as the special nickel titanium which the wires are made of, also aid with the speed of the treatment.

How does the procedure work?

Firstly, your suitability for the treatment will be assessed; this will involve your dentist examining your smile and taking some photographs and x-rays. Following this, you will be fitted with the special braces (which have come directly from a laboratory in the United States). You will then be required to attend quick appointments (roughly 10-15 minutes) every month or so, so that your dentist can check on you and adjust the braces. This will continue until the six months are up! So, if you are interested do contact us at Dublin18 Dental Care near to Carrickmines for more inform
